HANDMADE SOAPS
Each variety of soap is handmade by me in small batches to ensure gourmet quality. I use only vegetable oils in my soaps, which are heated and added to a caustic lye solution. The saponification reaction takes place during the stirring process and a hard soap is formed. All my soaps are superfatted, meaning there is more oil than lye, making the soaps very moisturizing, unlike the detergents which pass for soap on the commercial market these days. My Handmade soaps are made of the finest raw ingredients, plant oils, and fragrances, and are aged for four weeks after molding before they are sold. I create soap through the cold-process soap making technique--pure soaps have been made this way for hundreds of years, and now you can experience how wonderful real soap really is. I create all the soap recipes myself and I formulate each soap recipe based on a "gourmet" theme, as you will see from my ingredients, so you won't find this combination of scents and specialty oils anywhere else!
